"When everything works in the same way and information is in one place, work becomes easier and faster for everyone. There is no need to spend time searching for information or fixing mistakes afterwards – our goal is genuinely to deliver projects with a zero snag list."
Eetu Tammisto
Rannikon Aarre Oy, based in the Pirkanmaa region, is a contractor specialising in renovation construction, with a strong focus on pipeline and electrical refurbishments. Founded in 1997, the company employs nearly 30 people and is firmly set on a growth path, as demand for its services remains strong despite the challenging market conditions in the construction industry.
“At the moment, we can practically choose which projects we submit tenders for. It feels like we are receiving more and more requests for quotations all the time, even though the market is otherwise quieter,” says Site Manager Eetu Tammisto.
According to Tammisto, the company’s success is rooted in a long-term commitment to quality, continuous development of working methods, and a mindset of doing things right the first time.
“If something can clearly be done better by investing a bit more time, then we do it. Having seen different ways of working, I would say our standards for installers are higher. We are not just skilled workers – we are professionals. Our goal is that people genuinely deliver high-quality work, not just show up on site.”
In recent years, Rannikon Aarre has moved towards more standardised and consistent operating models that support growth and competitiveness. This ensures consistent quality and makes development more predictable.
“We have largely moved away from using Excel and Word as our main documentation tools. Everything that can be managed through systems is handled that way. Instead of everyone working in their own way, we now have a unified approach, with shared templates and consistent processes.”
Bringing business and project management together with Ultima ERP system
As part of developing its operations, Rannikon Aarre Oy implemented the Admicom Ultima ERP system in 2024. The goal was to centralise information management into a single solution, as previously accounting, time tracking and documentation were handled across separate systems. This made overall management slow and increased manual work.
“Previously, we had four or five different places where things were managed. Ultima has clearly streamlined our operations. Now all key information is in one place, and there is no need to transfer data between systems. When data is readily available, we can also utilise it better and gain much clearer visibility into our operations.”
The comprehensive nature of the system was a key factor in choosing Ultima over competing solutions.
“We also looked at other solutions with impressive visions and user interfaces, but their functionality was not sufficient at that time. Ultima, on the other hand, had everything ready. It may not have been the flashiest, but it included everything we actually need in our daily work.”
With Ultima, both project and business management have become more precise. When all data is collected in one system, project progress and profitability can be monitored more transparently, supporting better decision-making and faster responses to changes.
“We always want to improve what we do, and with Ultima we can, for example, refine our cost estimation and correctly size work phases when we see where hours are actually spent. For project management, Ultima provides clear data on how sites are performing and why, allowing us to take corrective actions when needed. Additional work is also now invoiced accurately and easily, as it is recorded directly against the order at the time of execution.”
Bauhub to streamline construction project management and site operations
The next step in Rannikon Aarre’s journey towards standardised operations is to introduce Admicom Bauhub to support daily site management. Bauhub enables key project management activities to be centralised, creating a real-time overview of site operations and helping to keep everything under control.
“The idea with Bauhub is that all communication, documents and tasks can be managed in one place, and it also supports scheduling. In my opinion, Bauhub is a lightweight and streamlined solution for everyday site use, easily accessible via a browser or mobile device.”
The value of Bauhub is particularly evident in daily operations, where information must be easily accessible and editable. Customisable form templates allow the company to build its own processes, directly supporting standardisation and quality assurance.
“Daily site management is the biggest benefit. Site diaries, waterproofing records, wet room cards and all other documentation can be stored in one place and made digitally accessible to installers when needed. Bauhub’s form builder is also very powerful and helps us simplify our work exactly where we want to.”
Bauhub’s potential is especially visible in situations where information needs to be delivered quickly and clearly. When instructions can be provided visually directly on floor plans and shared in real time, work progresses without delays and misunderstandings are reduced.
“Installers can add and comment on images themselves, and from the office I can, for example, mark on a floor plan where an asbestos sample should be taken. The installer immediately sees the correct location and can start work. This is a big improvement compared to trying to explain things verbally over the phone.”

Standardisation improves efficiency and communication on site
At Rannikon Aarre, one concrete example of standardisation enabled by Bauhub is the use of room cards, which present work phases clearly to installers. When all essential information is presented in a consistent format, work becomes predictable and less time is spent interpreting instructions.
“Room cards tell installers what needs to be done, with which materials, where and how. We design them to be as simple, compact and visual as possible, so they can be understood at a glance. In practice, you just need to look at where the tick mark is. When the same format is used across all projects, there is no need for guesswork.”
Clear instructions are complemented by up-to-date communication, ensuring that the latest information is always available.
“It is especially important that the system notifies users when documents are updated. This way, installers immediately see what has changed and can act accordingly. It reduces unnecessary clarification on site and significantly lowers the number of errors.”
In addition to internal communication, Bauhub also enables efficient information sharing with other project stakeholders. Tammisto sees significant potential particularly in resident communication, which is critical in pipeline renovation projects and often an area where improvements are needed.
“With Bauhub, we can create clear and informative notices with images, and for example mark floor plans with colour codes to show which areas require textiles or furniture to be removed. This makes communication clearer for residents, and by using distribution folders, information can be sent directly from the system via email.”
Trackinno brings visibility to asset management
In addition to Ultima and Bauhub, Rannikon Aarre has also started using Admicom Trackinno for asset management and maintenance. As operations grew, managing equipment across multiple sites became increasingly complex and was previously handled manually.
“We have many sites and equipment moves constantly between them. Previously, tracking was done manually, and there were situations where we didn’t know where a piece of equipment was or who had taken it. With Trackinno, the goal is to make this much easier and eliminate the need for that kind of investigation.”
Trackinno also supports maintenance planning. When equipment usage and condition are visible, maintenance needs can be identified in advance, reducing downtime and ensuring that the right tools are available when needed.
“In the future, we will also be able to see if a device is broken or requires maintenance, instead of it being left unused somewhere on site. When everything is recorded in the system, we know where equipment is and in what condition.”

Towards smoother daily operations
Managing construction sites involves constant balancing between information flow, schedules and changing conditions. In this context, the importance of standardised processes is emphasised. For Rannikon Aarre, Ultima has brought clarity to business and project management, Trackinno to equipment management, and Bauhub is expected to further enhance daily site management.
The common goal across all systems is to reduce unnecessary work and ensure that information is always available in the right place at the right time.
“When everything works in the same way and information is in one place, work becomes easier and faster for everyone. There is no need to spend time searching for information or fixing mistakes afterwards – our goal is genuinely to deliver projects with a zero snag list.”
