Admicom Bauhub project management

Admicom Bauhub provides Rakennus Grahn with a comprehensive project management tool

Jani Gran

"I have never come across a solution like this before. I don’t see Bauhub merely as a project bank, but as a complete project management tool for running an entire project."

Rakennus Grahn, operating in the Helsinki metropolitan area, specialises in renovation projects, particularly the refurbishment of historic buildings. The company’s operations are built on three business areas: office renovations, housing company refurbishments and classified security projects, which together generated over €25 million in turnover in 2024.

“We always put quality first – it guides everything we do. Our goal is to maintain high standards in every project,” says CEO Jani Gran.

Bauhub – a project management tool that centralises information

In companies like Rakennus Grahn, where quality is a key competitive advantage, processes also need to be smooth and transparent. Efficient processes ensure high quality without compromising financial performance.

“Documentation and information management are crucial for ensuring that our processes work in a way that delivers quality without sacrificing profitability.”

One of the biggest challenges in construction project management is fragmented information, which reduces efficiency. For this reason, Grahn’s team was immediately interested in Admicom Bauhub when it was launched on the Finnish market in early 2025.

“In construction, information tends to scatter across many platforms. We wanted all essential project data in one place. That’s why we chose Bauhub – it seemed versatile, easy to use and capable of supporting project management by bringing everything together in one application.”

According to Gran, Bauhub is designed to be intuitive and easy to implement, with support and guides readily available.

“Implementation was straightforward. The functions are clear, the overall view is easy to grasp, and support services and online guides have been very helpful.”

Project bank and project management in one

Bauhub combines traditional project bank features with advanced project management tools, such as task management.

“I have never seen anything like this. Bauhub is not just a project bank, but a full project management tool. Its strength lies in combining project bank features with project management in a single solution – which we think is an excellent advantage.”

Grahn’s team has created task templates in Bauhub that align with their processes, helping to standardise work practices across sites and reduce errors.

“For example, when partition wall works begin, we use a ready-made checklist template of things to consider. The same template is used on every site, ensuring that the same steps are followed and reducing the risk of mistakes.”

Centralising information and standardising processes also simplifies site supervision.

“Previously, one of the biggest challenges was that information was scattered. Now our site managers can access everything in one place and easily verify that processes are being followed. This adds clarity and confidence.”

Bringing all project stakeholders onto one platform

The core of Bauhub is a shared cloud-based platform where all project stakeholders can access the latest project information, documents and tasks. This shared environment improves traceability, accuracy and collaboration.

“For example, we record meeting minutes, site diaries, inspection lists and reviews directly in Bauhub. Everyone has access to the latest information they need for their role.”

Tasks can also be assigned within Bauhub, with clear responsibilities, deadlines and progress tracking.

“In projects that involve external designers, we can assign them tasks directly in Bauhub during meetings. The deadline is set, the task appears on their dashboard, and progress can be monitored. This is extremely useful when tasks are clearly allocated.”

With project-based pricing and unlimited users, all stakeholders can be included without extra cost, each with appropriate permissions.

“The user group system works really well. Different access levels can be set for internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring that the right people see the right information. For example, subcontractors can be restricted from sensitive contracts or confidential documents.”

Supporting a quality-focused way of working

Rakennus Grahn makes broad use of Admicom’s software ecosystem, which supports both quality and efficiency.

“We want to be at the forefront of renovation and ensure customer loyalty – that’s why we invest in quality and efficiency. We use Admicom’s integrated digital system covering documentation, scheduling and cost estimation. Vision ensures quality management, Planner supports scheduling and Estima streamlines cost estimation. Bauhub ties these elements together and improves overall project control. A smart, unified system ensures our projects run smoothly and to a high standard.”

Although Rakennus Grahn is only at the beginning of its Bauhub journey, the company is confident in recommending it to others.

“We can recommend Bauhub to anyone looking for a project management tool for similar needs – and we’ve already advised many clients to take a closer look.”

Bauhub is part of a larger digital ecosystem at Rakennus Grahn, supporting both daily operations and strategic development. The company believes that new technologies can bring significant benefits to construction processes, which is why it actively participates in Admicom’s development projects.

“We’ve been involved in pilot projects for new Admicom software features, and the results are already very promising,” Gran concludes.
